Q: Do teachers need to communicate with parents?
A: No, DreamOn office staff in Beijing will communicate with parents.

Q: Do teachers always teach the same students?
A: A teacher will teach the same student all of the lessons in a single series. Then, other individual students may choose to take that same class series or may show an interest in another prepared class.

Q: Do classes take place on Skype or another platform?
A: PEC has developed our own education platform called DreamOn to facilitate our one-on-one classes.

Q: Will I be evaluated?
A: Yes. Only students and parents that have used your services can evaluate you. We reserve the rights to manage the rating and comments.

ABOUT SCHEDULING

Q: How long is each class?
A: Each class is guaranteed 45 minutes of active teaching time. After that, teachers may take 15 minutes to leave comments. (These comments are reflections of the lesson and evaluation of the student. Total time commitment is 60 minutes per class, not including preparation time.

Q: What hours should teachers be available to teach?
A: The teacher decides by him/herself on hours and the exact time of teaching for each week. However, we suggest that the schedule is on a regular basis. DreamOn has no requirement of teachers’ schedules. However the teacher needs to know that peak hours refer to classes:
Summer peak hours Beijing Time LA Time
Monday to Friday 6am-8am 3pm-5pm
6pm-11pm 3am-8am
Saturday and Sunday 9am-11pm 6pm-8am

This is the best time to be available as it drastically increases the likelihood of a class being booked by the student.

Q: Is there a maximum number of hours a teacher could teach?
A: DreamOn makes no limitation on how much a teacher teaches during peak and non-peak time. Teachers control 100% of their schedule. However, availability in non-peak times is mostly not used. DreamOn makes no guarantee that a teacher will have a steady stream of classes.
